ROCHESTER, NY – Li'l Alf, the mascot for Alfred University, will be on hand for the Rochester Rhinos home soccer game on Saturday, Aug. 20.

The Rhinos are hosting a Mascot Night, in which close to 20 mascots from college and pro teams in the region are expected to attend. The event is being held to celebrate the birthday of Rex, the Rhinos' official mascot.

Mascots attending will greet spectators entering the main gate at Rochester Rhinos Stadium, before kickoff of the 6:05 matchup between the Rhinos and visiting Pittsburgh River Hounds. Gates to the stadium, located at 460 Oak Street in Rochester, will open at 5 p.m. Tickets are available at a discounted price of $15 (see below for ordering info).

In what has become one of the most popular features of Mascot Nights at Rhinos games, the mascots in attendance will take the field for a halftime game.

The Rhinos are also conducting a Super Heroes Night where kids can dress up as their favorite super hero The tickets for which are $15 as well.

Alfred University alumni, students, parents and friends are welcome to attend a pregame tailgate hosted by the University Relations staff at 4:00 pm. The cost of which is $15 for both food/non-alcoholic beverages as well as the ticket. University Relations has 50 tickets set aside for those attending the tailgate so all of the Saxons in attendance can sit together.
