ROCHESTER, NY— The Alfred University women's basketball team was downed on the road Friday evening by Nazareth College, 87-42.
 
The Saxons were led by senior Sarah Kichman (Portville, NY/Portville) with 15 points. Sophomore Rosemond Guerrier (Queens, NY/Cristo Rey Brooklyn) and freshman Chanice Battle (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) had five rebounds each. The five rebounds are a career-high for Guerrier at Alfred University. Battle also paced the Saxons with five assists; the second highest total in assists in her career.
 
The Golden Flyers were led by Sam Sorge with 19 points. Colby McCartney had seven rebounds to lead Nazareth on the night.
 
AU (2-20, E8 1-12) travels to Ithaca College tomorrow to take on the Bombers at 4PM.
