ALFRED, NY -- Senior Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) of the Alfred University women's basketball team broke 1,000 career points on Saturday against Hunter College which helped her earn Empire 8 Player of the Week honors on Monday afternoon.

Off entered the season with 944 points and scored 17 against Wells College on Tuesday evening, 25 against SUNY Purchase on Friday and 19 against Hunter to bring her career total to 1,005 points. Off is shooting .543 from the floor and is a dead-even .500 from beyond the arc on the week. Both of her games on Friday and Saturday yielded double-doubles for here, adding 10 rebounds (five offensive and five defensive) against Purchase and 16 (five offensive and 11 defensive) against Hunter. Off accumulated three blocks and six steals while assisting on 11 scores. She averaged 20.3 points per game.

The Saxons and Off will next open up their 2016-17 home schedule when they host the Wolves of Keuka College on Tuesday evening at 5:00 pm in the Terry S. Galanis Family Arena.
