PITTSBURGH, PA – The Alfred University women's volleyball team split their final two matches of the La Roche College Tournament on Saturday morning, defeating Chatham University in three sets while falling to Baldwin Wallace University in three as well.

The Saxons won the first match with set scores of 25-15, 25-22 and 25-14.
Heather D'Andrea led the way with seven aces and seven kills off of 18 attempts (.333). Her service aces were good enough for the match-high against Chatham's five aces between four players. She was also tied with the Cougar's Maggie Fleiner in digs with 14.

Brianna Dudick followed with a match-high nine kills off of 24 attempts (.208) and added two aces for 11 points.
Jessica Scoones totaled 25 set assists, leading both teams and added three digs and one kill.

Alfred University fell in the second match 11-25, 14-25 and 14-25.

D'Andrea and
Chelsea Pietrzykowski both had four kills against Baldwin College.
Aubrey Totsline took charge of setting by assisting on 12 attacks. Her and D'Andrea each had six digs while
Elisabeth Estep posted a team-high of eight.

The Saxons finished the match with three solo blocks from Totsline, Pietrzykowski and
Jacquelynn Hicks.
Mary Lou Patnaude and D'Andrea both went up for one block assist each.

Alfred University will next travel to Ithaca College for three matches against the host, Widener University and Wells College on Friday, September 11 and 12. Match times are 7:30pm on Friday for Ithaca and then 12:00 pm and 2:00 pm against Widener and Wells on Saturday, respectively.
