Box Score 2 ROCHESTER, NY – The Alfred University volleyball team dropped both of its final two matches at the RIT Tournament on Saturday to Brockport and Geneseo with 0-3 losses each.

The Saxons (1-11, 0-0 Empire 8) fell in the morning match to Brockport 10-25, 13-25 and 8-25. In the later match, SUNY Geneseo topped Alfred with Saxon set scores of 12-25, 23-25 and 19-25.

Mary Lou Patnaude (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) led the Saxons against the Golden Eagles with more than double the points of the next highest AU player. She finished the match with five kills off of 13 attempts for a .308 kill percentage (accounting one error), good enough for second best of the match behind Brockport's Emily Flohr (seven kills off of 13 attempts with one error for .462) with at least 10 or more total attacks. Patnaude added two aces and one solo block for a grand total of eight points while also adding one to the Saxons' dig total of 27.

Aubrey Totsline (Fairport, NY/Fairport) led AU in set assists with 10 while
Elisabeth Estep (Horseheads, NY/Horseheads) had seven digs.

Patnaude would go on to add another eight points to her day with seven kills and one ace but it was
Jacquelynn Hicks (Greenville, NY/Greenville) who posted the highest points against Geneseo. Hicks had five kills, two solo blocks, two assisted blocks and one ace for nine total points.

Chelsea Pietrzykowski (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) had the team-high in kill percentage with a completion of 3-of-9 attacks and one error for a percentage of .222. Totsline garnered another 13 assists while Estep added 12 digs to her daily total. Patnaude also had 10 digs in the match.

The Saxons will next travel to Buffalo, NY to face D'Youville on Tuesday, September 22 at 7:00 pm in a non-conference dual match.
