Box Score BRADFORD, PA – The Alfred University volleyball team battled non-conference opponent Pitt-Bradford in a four-set match but fell to on the road 1-3 on Tuesday evening.

Jacquelynn Hicks (Greenville, NY/Greenville) led the way for the Saxons with nine points off of three kills, three solo blocks and six assisted stops at the net during their 13-25, 15-25, 25-22, 19-25 loss. Heather D'Andrea (Erie, PA/Mercyhurst Prep) followed with 8.5 points from sevens kills, which was a team-high, one service ace and one assisted block while adding five digs.

Mary Lou Patnaude (Burnt Hills, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) posted a team-second best in kills with six and added two assisted blocks and one on her own with one dig for eight points.

Aubrey Totsline (Fairport, NY/Fairport) had 16 set assists with two solo blocks and two assisted while Valerie Cardillo (Webster, NY/Webster Schroeder) followed D'Andrea's team-leading digs with four of her own.

The Saxons will next head to Rochester, NY to participate in the Rochester Institute of Technology's tournament where they will face RIT at 3:00 pm and Buffalo State at 5:00 pm on Friday and then Brockport at 10:00 am and SUNY Geneseo at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 18 and 19, respectively.
