ALFRED, NY – Fifty-four Alfred University student-athletes were named to the Empire 8 Conference President's List for the Spring 2015 semester, the Empire 8 announced this week. In addition, seven AU teams were honored for academic excellence.
President's List recipients must earn a 3.75 grade point average or higher and have participated in athletics at one of the conference's full-time member institutions or affiliate members. In addition, the student-athlete must display positive contact on and off campus and be enrolled full-time at the member institution.

The Empire 8 also announced teams that earned All-Academic honors for the spring 2015 semester. Teams earn All-Academic honors from the conference for having a cumulative team grade point average of at least 3.20. Teams earning All-Academic honors for AU were: women's tennis (3.72 team GPA); Alpine skiing (3.42); equestrian (3.33) men's soccer (3.31); women's volleyball (3.26); and women's soccer (3.24); and women's swimming and diving (3.20).
