ALFRED, NY—Freshman Chanice Battle (Brooklyn, NY/Midwood) scored 22 points and collected seven rebounds; however Alfred University fell to Mount Saint Mary (NY) 86-60 in Alfred, NY.
 
 Battle was 10-of-17 (58.8%) from the field in just her second game of her career.  However, MSMC took control in the paint 54-30 to roll on to victory. Kayla Cleare led the Knights with 17 points on 8-of-9 shooting.
 
Senior Sarah Kichman (Portville, NY/Portville) scored 12 points and accumulated four rebounds while junior Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) and McKaylee Croll (Perry, NY/Perry) pitched in with five rebounds each.
 
The Saxons (0-2, E8 0-0) have a week intermission prior to their next game when they travel to Hamburg, NY to take on D'Youville College at 2PM on the road.
