ALFRED, NY—The Alfred University women's soccer team was trumped by Nazareth College Tuesday evening, 5-0, in Yunevich Stadium.
 
The Saxons' lone opportunity came in the 12^th minute when freshman Emily Wright (Plano, TX/Plano West) put a shot on goal.  Naz's keeper was quick to nab the shot and keep the Saxons off the board.
 
The Golden flyers scored three goals in the first half and two in the second half.  Nicole Petrocchi led Nazareth with two shots goals on the evening.
 
Sophomore keeper, Sammy Jo Shanahan (Valley Stream, NY/Valley Stream South), played 90 minutes in goal for AU, saving eight of 13 shots on goal.
 
The Saxons (1-10-1, E8 0-3-0) remain at home to take on Utica College on Saturday at 1PM for an Empire 8 matchup.
