PITTSBURGH, PA -- The Alfred University women's volleyball team dropped two matches Saturday at the LaRoche College Tournament.

The Saxons fell to host LaRoche, 3-2, in a semifinal match Saturday morning, then dropped a 3-0 decision to Washington & Jefferson in the afternoon's consolation match.

Against LaRoche, AU (2-5) lost by scores of 15-25, 25-18, 19-25, 25-18 and 6-15. Freshman
Chelsea Pietrzykowski (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) had 14 kills and four digs and sophomore
Mary Lou Patnaude (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) had 13 kills and 10 digs to lead the Saxons.

Aubrey Totsline (Rochester, NY/Fairport) had 29 assists; senior
Taylor Kiernan (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) had 12 digs and freshman
Jacquelynn Hicks (Greenville, NY/Greenville) had three solo blocks for AU.

Alfred lost to W&J 17-25, 8-25 and 12-25. Junior
Brianna Dudick (Somers, NY/Somers) had six kills, four digs and a service ace and Totsline had nine assists and 13 digs to lead AU.

The Saxons got eight digs from Kiernan, four kills and three blocks from Hicks, And four kills and seven digs from Patnaude.

AU plays next on Wednesday, Sept. 10, at 7 p.m. at home against Pitt-Bradford.
