Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 PITTSFORD, NY -- The Alfred University women's volleyball team lost a pair of Empire 8 Conference matches Saturday. AU, Nazareth and Utica played in the round-robin tri-match hosted by Nazareth; Alfred lost 3-0 to Nazareth and 3-0 to Utica.
 
Against Nazareth, AU lost by scores of 30-10, 30-16 and 26-24. Freshman Chelsea Pietrzykowski (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) had five kills and two digs and sophomore Mary Lou Patnaude (Ballston Lake, NY/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) had nine kills, seven digs and two solo blocks to lead the Saxons.
 
Freshman Aubrey Totsline (Rochester, NY/Fairport) had 19 assists, six digs and a service ace and senior Taylor Kiernan (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) had seven digs.
 
Utica defeated AU by scores of 25-21, 25-22, and 25-19. Patnaude had 15 kills and seven digs and Totsline had 31 assists. Junior Brianna Dudick (Somers, NY/Somers) had nine kills and nine digs and Kiernan had 18 digs.
 
AU (3-12, 0-2 Empire 8) plays next on Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 7 p.m. at home against D'Youville.
