OLEAN, NY -- The Alfred University men's tennis team lost a 7-2 decision to visiting Ithaca College, in an Empire 8 Conference match that was played on the indoor courts in Olean. With the loss, Alfred falls to 11-8 overall and 2-3 in conference play.

AU sophomore Connor Doud (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) earned AU's only win in singles play, taking first singles, 6-2, 6-4. Doud and senior Stefan Nonnenmann (New Providence, NJ/New Providence) claimed the Saxons' sole victory in doubles play, winning first doubles, 8-6.

Alfred is in action this afternoon at 1 p.m. in an Empire 8 match against visiting Elmira.
