Box Score ALFRED, NY- The Alfred University women's basketball team dropped a 62-47 decision to visiting Stevens Tech, Friday evening at McLane Center.

Stevens held a comfortable 39-20 lead at halftime and Alfred was unable to close the gap in the second half.

For the game, AU shot 31 percent from the field, 35 percent from beyond the arc, and 58 percent from the free throw line.

Junior guard Harley Cleary (Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy), freshman guard Kathryn Polletta (Ossining, NY/Ossining), and freshman forward Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) led Alfred in scoring with 10, nine, and seven points each. Senior forward Sarah Federico (Buffalo, NY/Holy Angels) pulled down a team-best six rebounds.

Alfred (6-14, 1-8 Empire 8) faces off against Hartwick College on Friday, Feb. 8, at 4 p.m.
