Bombers handle Lady Saxons, 80-35

Box Score ALFRED, NY- The Alfred University women's basketball closed out the season with an 80-35 loss to visiting Ithaca College, Saturday afternoon at McLane Center. This loss brings AU to 6-19 (1-13 Empire 8) on the year.

Ithaca forced Alfred into 21 turnovers that led to 25 points off turnovers. The Bombers held a 43-16 lead at halftime and the Lady Saxons were unable to close the gap throughout the second half.

Junior guard Emiliea Harrison (Conesus, NY/Dansville) and junior forward Lyndsay Drummond (Ogdensburg, NY/Ogdensburg) led AU in scoring with eight points apiece. Sophomore guard Sarah Kichman (Portville, NY/Portville) and junior guard Harley Cleary (Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) added six and five points each.

Senior forward Sarah Federico (Buffalo, NY/Holy Angels) pulled down a team-best six rebounds and freshman forward Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) followed with four boards.

Geena Brady shot six of seven from the field for 12 points, and Mary Kate Tierney scored eight points, grabbed five rebounds, dished out four assists, and stole the ball twice for Ithaca.
