PITTSFORD, NY -- The Alfred University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of Empire 8 Conference matches Saturday. AU, Stevens and St. John Fisher played in the round-robin tri-match hosted by Fisher; Alfred lost 3-0 to Stevens and 3-0 to Fisher.
 
Against Steven, AU lost by scores of 25-16, 25-12 and 25-12. Junior Chelsea Pietrzykowski (Canandaigua, NY/Canandaigua) had six kills and freshman Aubrey Totsline (Rochester, NY/Fairport) had six assists for the Saxons. Freshman Jacquelynn Hicks (Greenville, NY/Greenville) had four kills, a block and a pair of service aces, while senior Taylor Kiernan (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) added 18 digs.
 
Fisher defeated AU by scores of 25-15, 25-17 and 25-17. Totsline had 16 assists, five digs and a block; Kiernan had 18 digs; Pietrzykowski had eight kills; and Hicks had a pair of blocks.
 
AU (4-17, 0-5 Empire 8) plays next on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at 7 p.m. at Empire 8 opponent Elmira.
