Box Score HOBOKEN, NJ-  The Alfred University men's basketball team dropped a 102-85 decision on the road to Stevens Tech, Saturday afternoon.
           
Senior guard Thomas Tsatsis (Neponsit, NY/Townsend Harris) paced the Saxons in the first half with nine points, but the Ducks held a 47-31 lead at halftime.
           
Stevens remained in control for the remainder of the contest, giving Alfred their second Empire 8 loss of the year. This loss drops AU to 10-4 on the season and 3-2 in conference play. For the game, Alfred shot 39 percent from the field, 29 percent from beyond the arc, and 75 percent from the free-throw line.
           
Senior forward Jason Ruback (Pittsford, NY/Pittsford-Mendon) finished with a team-high 16 points for the Saxons, shooting three-of-four beyond the arc for 75 percent. Tsatsis and junior guard Ryan Mahon (Oneonta, NY/Oneonta) each scored 14 points. Senior forward Steve Lothridge (East Syracuse, NY/East Syracuse-Minoa (OCC)) pulled down a team-best seven rebounds and freshman guard Julian Reinhart (Hornell, NY/Hornell) added nine points.
           
Alfred returns home to McLane Center on Friday, Jan. 24, at 6 p.m. against Houghton College.
