Box Score ITHACA, NY- The Alfred University women's basketball team suffered a 76-58 loss to visiting Elmira College, Saturday evening in a conference matchup.

The Soaring Eagles held a 36-26 lead at halftime and increased it during the second half of play, further putting a comeback out of reach for Alfred. The Lady Saxons were hurt by 29 turnovers. For the game, AU shot 42 percent from the field, 30 percent from beyond the arc, and 66 percent from the free-throw line.

Freshman forward Amanda Off (New Berlin, NY/Unadilla Valley) paced Alfred with a double-double of 12 points and 12 rebounds. Junior guard Harley Cleary (Rochester, NY/Our Lady of Mercy) and sophomore guard Sarah Kichman (Portville, NY/Portville) combined for 24 points, each scoring 12. Sophomore forward Hailey Sick (Dansville, NY/Dansville) shot five-for-five from the field and finished with 11 points.

AU returns to action on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 7 p.m. against Keuka College.
