Box Score ALFRED, NY — Visiting Hilbert shut out the Alfred University volleyball team, 3-0, Tuesday night at the McLane Center.

Alfred lost the non-conference match by scores of 25-17, 25-17 and 25-12 to fall to 3-19 on the season. Senior Chelsea Hall (Grand Island, NY/Grand Island) had five kills and eight digs to pace the Saxons.

Junior Taylor Kiernan (Patchogue, NY/Patchogue-Medford) had 13 digs; senior Janelle Gallipeau (Rochester, NY/Greece Olympia) had 17 assists and four digs; senior Kelsey Brand (Elmira, NY/Elmira Free Academy) had four kills; and senior Samantha Wood (Newfield, NY/Newfield) had three kills and two solo blocks.

Alfred is in action next on Saturday, Sept, 19, with two contests at the SUNY Oswego tri-match. The Saxons take on Sage at 2 p.m. and Oswego at 4 p.m.
