Bremel ended her season with her best throw in the discus event to date, rebreaking her own record by breaching the 40-meter barrier. She tossed it 40.15m (131’-8”) on her third attempt to make finals and push a thrower from Utica out of the Top-9 listing. Bremel was one place away from making the podium as she finished ninth overall.
