Sophomore Guariglia scored her first two goals of the season on the week. Her first was a 14-yard snipe to the right corner against Hilbert College in a game where, as a defender, she managed to take four shots. Guariglia picked up her second collegiate game-winner on Saturday as she was able to connect with Emily Wright on a corner kick for the one-timer, header goal. Defensively, Guariglia helped keep opponent forwards and midfielders away from the Saxon keeper, as she faced only three shots the entire week. In Saturday’s win over Keuka College, Guariglia and the rest of the Saxon defense faced a determined offense that in the final 14 minutes of the match, spent the majority of time on the attack. Guariglia and the Saxon defense dug in their heels and only allowed one shot in the final five minutes.
