Gilbert smashed his career-high in scoring, surpassing his 14 points against Hilbert earlier this season with 23 in a road loss at Grove City on Thursday to kick off the Saxons' 2026 schedule. He hit a career-high nine field goals with one from 3-point range while going perfect from the free throw line, hitting 4-of-4. Gilbert added two rebounds.
