Brought opened his collegiate baseball career fantastically, despite dropping a double-header loss to Penn State Brandywine and a solo game loss to Northland College. He was 7-for-9 from the plate with a double in each contest. His last double of the weekend, on Sunday, was a two-run shot for his first and second RBI of his career, tying the game, 4-4 before Northland opened up the scoring for the 10-4, 9-inning win. Brought scored once, himself, in the loss to Northland but his first collegiate run was in Game Two of the PS-Brandywine twin bill. Brought is the Saxons’ batting leader with more than double the hits, double the RBI, more than double the total bases (10), batting average (.778) and slugging percentage (1.111).
