The sophomore from the Bronx, NY, won the 400-meter dash at the New York State outdoor track and field championships at St. John Fisher over the weekend. He posted a winning time of 49.36 seconds, which met ECAC-qualifying standards. Matos also finished eighth in the 200-meter dash in 23.25 seconds.
