Junior wide receiver Jayden Gavidia broke the Alfred University school record for most receptions in a single game with 13 in the Saxons’ home-opener and first Empire 8 Athletic Conference game when they hosted Utica on Saturday. He was also just two yards away from breaking the school record in receiving yards in a single game as he totaled 207 yards with a long of 45 yards. Gavidia also had on receiving touchdown on the day as the Saxons went on of the 24-17 win.
