Palmer broke her own school record in the indoor shot put at Rochester Institute of Technology on Friday evening. She finished third in the event, out-throwing the fourth place finish from a Laker of Oswego State by 1.5 inches as Palmer tossed a distance of 12.00m, surpassing her previous mark of 11.96m. Palmer then continued her streak of having marks above the All-Atlantic Regional Indoor Track & Field Championship qualifying standards as she threw 14.33m in the weight throw to finish fourth in the event.
