First-year Ana Ion broke her collegiate career-high in a winter break win over Elms College with 20 points as she recorded 13 points against Western Connecticut State during the Saxons’ final games of 2019. Ion went 7-for-17 from the floor including three made 3-pointers and was 3-of-5 from the free throw line in Sunday’s win over Elms. She also pulled down five rebounds and had one steal in the contest. On Monday, she was 6-of-15 from the floor with six rebounds and two steals while earning one assist and one block.
