Spila used three personal bests to capture the Alfred University school record in the heptathlon, scoring 4,071 points and earning All-Atlantic All-Region with a fourth place finish in the event. She opened the two-day event with a personal best time in the 100-meter hurdles, running 15.98. Spila closed out Wednesday with a personal best in the shot put, throwing 9.44m (30’-11.75”) and neared another personal best in the 200-meter dash, clocking in a time of 27.35, just 0.01 away from tying her collegiate best. On Thursday, Spila opened the day with two good field performances that put her in reach of breaking 4,000 points with the 800-meter run. She ran a personal best time of 2:40.35 to capture the All-Region podium finish and school record. Spila had the top finish in the heptathlon out of all Empire 8 opponents, edging Laura Meade of Utica and her 4,027 points.
