After breaking his career-high in single game rushing yards the week prior at Ithaca College with 97, senior Aaron Griffin went off on Saturday during the Saxons’ first home night football game since 2002 with 229 rushing yards including a long of 80 yards as he recorded three touchdowns on the ground in a dominant, non-conference throttling of University of Rochester. He helped the Saxons win, 56-13 as he carried the ball 18 times to average 12.7 a touch as he never lost a single yard, gaining 229 yards for his total net. Griffin’s performance on Saturday moved him into the #6 spot All-Time at Alfred University for most yards in a single game. He was also second on the team in receiving with three receptions for 38 yards with a long of 14.
