Sophomore Megan Alper competed in the Saxons’ season-opener for indoor track and field on Friday evening at the Houghton College December Classic. She competed in both the 200-meter dash and 60-meter dash. Alper earned the highest finish for the Saxons when she took fourth in the 200 with a time of 27.67. She finished 18th in the 60 with a time of 8.46. Both times were near personal bests as her top time in the 200 is a 27.42 set at the Empire 8 Championships last year and an 8.41 in the 60 set at the NYSCTC Championships.
