Miranda Gilbert played a huge role in the Saxons' 3-1 week on the road. She averaged 3.75 goals per game after her 15-goal week. Gilbert had a career-high performance during the Saxons' 16-4 win against Hilbert College as she netted five goals off of six shots (all on goal) with one of them being a free-position goal. She also broke a career-best in free-position goals by going 3-for-3 against Wells College in AU's 15-9 win. She totaled four goals on six shots (all on goal) against the Express. In AU's first win of the season with a 12-7 toppling of Keuka College, Gilbert once again had a hat-trick and one as she totaled four goals off of eight shots (seven on goal). In that game, she tied her career-high in draw controls with four on the evening and added two caused turnovers. She also tied her career-best in ground balls with four. Her weekly totals are 15 goals, 27 shots, 26 shots on goal, 5-of-7 free-position shots, 11 ground balls, 11 draw controls and six caused turnovers. She was credited with the game-winning goal against Hilbert College.
