ALFRED, NY--Junior Connor Doud (Ballston Spa, NY/Ballston Spa) has been named the Alfred University Male Athlete of the Week.

The junior from Ballston Spa, NY, led the men’s tennis team to a pair of non-conference wins last week, at Keuka and Utica. Doud dropped just one point in two first singles matches, defeating his opponent from Keuka, 8-0, and winning his singles match at Utica, 6-1, 6-0. He and first doubles partner Kevin Volz shut out both their opponents, 8-0.

Doud and the Saxons play next Fri. April 17, at home against Empire 8 foe, Houghton College.
