Nicholas White was appointed graduate assistant coach for the Alfred University men’s and women’s cross country and track and field teams prior to the 2016-17 academic year.
He is a 2015 graduate of Messiah College in Mechanicsburg, PA, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in history. At Messiah, White was a four-year member of the track and field team, serving as a team captain his senior season. He earned Middle Atlantic Conference First Team honors 12 times and Second Team honors eight times and also and setting a conference record in the 60-meter hurdles.
White earned his New York State Coaching Certification in October 2015 and the USATF Level One Certification in January 2016. He has served since September 2015 as assistant varsity track and field coach at Washingtonville (NY) High School. From 2013-15, he was technique and conditioning coach at SWIFT Speed and Hurdle and SWIFT Pole Vault summer camps.
White earned his Pennsylvania State Teaching Certification in social studies in June 2015. He is seeking a master’s degree in school counseling from Alfred University.
