Theresa A. Gunn, associate professor of accountancy, was appointed faculty athletic representative at Alfred University prior to the 2017-18 academic year. In that role, she serves the faculty liaison to the athletic department.

Gunn has been an associate professor of accountancy at Alfred University since 2009. She also served as assistant controller at Alfred University from 2004-09, during which time she served a year (2007-08) as an adjunct professor in the AU College of Business. From 1993-2004, Gunn held the positions of director of accounting/grants administration and administrative assistant to the director of accounting/budget at the New York State College of Ceramics at Alfred University.

She was an adjunct instructor at the Alfred State College, College of Business Technologies, in 2000, and in 2001 was an adjunct instructor in the Alfred University College of Business. Gunn has also held positions of core assistant professor and core professor of business administration at TUI University.

Gunn holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Alfred University (1996) and also holds a Master’s of Business Administration degree from Alfred University (1998). She earned a Ph.D from TUI University in 2008. Gunn also has an associate’s degree in accounting from Alfred State College, earned in 1987.
