Cullen Marrella

Marrella was named the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Alfred University in March of 2024.
 
Marrella comes to AU from Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he was the Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach, leading the baseball, track & field, softball and cross country teams as the primary coach while also assisting with the football, swimming & diving, field hockey, women’s lacrosse and women’s soccer teams. He oversaw fitness levels and strength progress for the football program and led the communication of the internship curriculum including weekly meetings with strength & conditioning interns.
 
Prior to IUP, Marrella worked as an intern for the University of Minnesota Duluth strength & conditioning program. While there, he oversaw the development and implementation of strength & conditioning programs for baseball and track & field (specifically the jumpers, sprinters and multis) and assisted with football, volleyball, men’s basketball, and individual student-athlete workouts.
 
In 2022, Marrella  served as the sports performance intern at University of Wyoming-Laramie where he coached the football team and individual student-athletes to improve their strength, agility and conditioning levels. His first internship within strength & conditioning was during the fall semester in 2019 at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, running team workouts aside the head strength & conditioning coach and assisting in developing and implementing programs.
