Jasmine Picini

Jasmine Picini will begin her second season as a graduate assistant coach for the AU softball team during 2017-18 academic year.

During her first season with the Saxons, she helped AU to a 21-17 overall record and 7-7 record in Empire 8 play, narrowly missing the 2017 Empire 8 Championships.

She is a 2016 Alfred University graduate, earning a bachelor's degree in communications studies. At AU, she was a four-year letterwinning catcher for the Saxon softball team, twice earning Empire 8 All-Conference recognition. She finished her career with a .322 batting average, 10 home runs and 38 runs scored. Her 37 doubles rank third on the AU career list; her 103 RBIs rank fifth; and her 131 hits rank ninth.

She was a member of the 2016 class of seniors that won 122 games (a school record for a four-year class) and twice made the NCAA Division III playoffs. The 2015 Saxons won Empire 8 regular season and conference championship tournament titles and advanced through Regional and Super Regional rounds of the NCAA tournament to the Division III College World Series in Salem, VA.

A native of Alexandria, VA, Picini will be pursuing a master's degree in business administration from AU.
