Caressa DeRossett began her first year as a Graduate Assistant Coach at Alfred University for the 2017-2018 softball team.
DeRossett is a 2017 graduate from the University of Wisconsin, Parkside where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
DeRossett was recruited and played her freshman year at Northeastern Junior College, in Colorado, as the starting short stop, with a batting average of .500. After suffering a double-fractured wrist towards the end of her freshman year, she returned to California where she played her sophomore year as a utility player for Ohlone Junior College. During her sophomore year she was named 2nd Team All-League and recruited to play softball for the University of Wisconsin, Parkside. DeRossett played her last two years of eligibility as a utility player for the University of Wisconsin, Parkside.
DeRossett’s love of softball has landed here at Alfred University where she will earn her Masters in Education and College Student Development while still enjoying the thrill of softball.
