Brandon Harrison joined the Saxon softball coaching staff as an assistant coach in the spring of 2021. Prior to that, he was the Sports Information Director at AU, hired in October, 2017 before leaving to become the Assistant Professor of Sport Management and Internship Coordinator in the fall of 2019.

He spent a year prior to returning to Alfred University in 2017 as the Director of Athletic Communications at Goucher College in Maryland. Goucher has 20 varsity, intercollegiate teams as well as co-ed, equestrian, in which Harrison oversaw from his position. In one year, Harrison saw the overhaul of the athletics website as well as the unveiling of a newly designed mascot.
 
Harrison graduated from St. John Fisher College with his bachelor’s in sport management in 2013 while also working as a student for the athletics department. After Fisher, he was the Sports Information Graduate Assistant here at Alfred University from the fall of 2014 until graduating with his Master of Business Administration in the spring of 2016. During that time, he was the primary sport contact for men’s and women’s soccer, men’s and women’s basketball and men’s and women’s lacrosse alongside working with football, volleyball and softball. Harrison was also the Director of the Saxon Pride Board, a platform to promote student-athlete community involvement and school pride.
 
He also has professional experience from neighboring Alfred State College as the Athletic Department Staff Assistant, specializing in event management and student-athlete compliance. Harrison also interned with the Saxon Athletic Department in the summer of 2013 while finishing his Sports Management degree at St. John Fisher College, playing a key role in creating a new website for the athletic department among a number of other projects.
 
Harrison played varsity baseball for local Canisteo-Greenwood High School for all four years and modified for the two years prior. He also played varsity soccer and swam varsity as well. Harrison is also active in the local areas through his role for the Alfred-Almond Community Sports Association co-overseeing youth sports in Almond. As an athlete, himself, he still manages to find time to play in adult leagues as much as possible.
