Michael Spencer joined the AU Swimming and Diving staff as a graduate assistant coach in the fall of 2020.

Spencer comes to the valley after a celebrated career at Westminster (Penn.) College. A three-time All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) first-team selection, Spencer was a part of multiple championship free relays at 200- and 400-meters, as well as a two-time 200-medley relay championship winner. Individually, Spencer won the 50-freestyle championship as a rookie in 2016. A PAC All-Academic selection, Spencer earned a B.S. in Business Administration and Sports Management from Westminster. In high school, Spencer finished as high as third in the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) state meet in the 50-freestyle, and won two District 9 championships in the 50- and 100- freestyle.
