Prior to AU:	Assistant Coach for Penn Yan Junior Mustangs

Dr. Button-Ervin is the first Head Coach in Alfred University Cheerleading program history, beginning in the fall of 2019. Dr. Button-Ervin coached the AU Saxon cheerleaders starting in January of 2018 and aided in the transition from a student-run club to an intercollegiate sport. 

Prior to taking over for the Saxons, Dr. Button-Ervin assisted with Finger Lakes Elite - an All-Star Cheerleading Squad, and went on to serve as a Head Coach for the Penn Yan Junior Mustangs cheerleading program where she led the squad to competition victories, including the Finger Lakes Youth Football and Cheerleading League competition. While with the Penn Yan Junior Mustangs, Dr. Button-Ervin coached various age groups from 2008-2012 and has choreographed routines for that program since 2013.

Dr. Button-Ervin is life-long cheerleader that found her stride during her high school years participating on the Varsity team all four years. While cheering herself, she also was the Assistant Coach for the Yates County Junior Football Cheerleading program. 

Dr. Button-Ervin is a Psychology Professor on campus while also serving as a Title IX Deputy Coordinator.
