ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's lacrosse team hosted Keuka College in its home opener on Wednesday evening.
 
The Saxons (0-2, 0-0 Empire 8) ran into a tough Wolves team that outdueled them by a score of 26-1.
 
Brenna Turner (Bentonville, AR / Bentonville) put the Saxons on the board with a free position goal during the second half.
 
Turner also scooped up three ground balls to lead the Saxons and caused a turnover on defense.
 
Paige Rowlee (Fulton, NY / G. Ray Bodley) went the distance in goal for Alfred and ended with three saves.
 
The Saxons will be on the road in their next game at Medaille College on Saturday, March 14^th at 2:30PM.
