ALFRED, NY – The Alfred University women's lacrosse team hosted 12
th ranked St. John Fisher College on Tuesday in its 2019 home finale. The Saxons (1-12, 0-7 Empire 8) fell to the Cardinals by a score of 24-1.

After Fisher went up to a comfortable lead early on,
Taylor Miller (Medina, NY/Medina) threw a long pass on target to
Grace Evans (Bethel Park, NY/Bethel Park) who evaded a Fisher defender and put AU on the board.

The Saxons had trouble getting close to the net through the Cardinal defense from that point as the 12
th ranked team in the country went on to stay unbeaten in the conference.

Madison Latranyi (Danville, PA/Danville Area) had two caused turnovers, two ground balls and two draw controls on the afternoon.

Paige Rowlee (Fulton, NY/G. Ray Bodley) was in the net for the entire 60 minutes and ended with 11 saves.

Alfred will close out its season on the road this upcoming Saturday at Nazareth College at 4PM.
