ROCHESTER, NY – Senior Tracy Johnston (Akron, NY/Akron) netted three goals as the Alfred University women's lacrosse team fell to host Nazareth College, 24-4 on Saturday afternoon.
 
Junior Miranda Gilbert (Watertown, NY/Watertown) rounded out the scoring for the Saxons (3-12, 0-8 Empire 8).
 
Junior Shannon Gray (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) led the team in ground balls with two. Seniors Dana Ganley (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) and Johnston each finished with one caused turnover.
 
Johnston also led the team in draw controls with three while senior Leah Ellithorpe (Camillus, NY/West Genesee) won two draw controls.
 
Nazareth held the advantage in shots, 38-11, as well as draw controls, 20-9.
 
Gray picked up the loss in net as she went the distance, making seven saves on 31 shots faced.
