Emily Wright (Dallas, TX/Plano West) was able to capitalize on a free kick opportunity, placing the ball just out of the reach of the goalies glove, for the game-winner.
Â
"At halftime we talked about high pressure and making connecting passes instead of trying to play that over the top ball," said assistant coach
Stephany Ellison on how the team adjusted for the second half of play. "Amanda did an amazing job of getting a goal quickly and shifted the momentum in our favor. Emily was able to adjust her direct kicks and was able to find the back of the net was huge for us. This was a big win for us as the girls did a great job."
