ONEONTA, NY—Junior Tracy Johnston (Akron, NY/Akron) scored twice in a 14-3 loss to Hartwick on the road Saturday afternoon.
 
The goals mark the 10^th and 11^th goals for the junior attack player. Freshman Morgan Timmerman (Cortland, NY/Cortland) scored the remaining goal for Alfred University (4-6, E8 0-2).
 
The Hawks started out on an 8-0 run in the first half. However, in the second half the Saxons got on the board when Timmerman notched an unassisted goal. Hartwick rattled off three more goals before senior Aubrey Fry (Jasper, NY/Jasper-Troupsburg) found Johnston for her first goal of the game with 12:43 to go in the game.  Freshman Olivia Cronmiller (Livonia, NY/Livonia) assisted Johnston's second goal with 3:44 left in the game. When the final buzzer rang the Hawks held a 14-3 advantage.
 
Hartwick was led by Lauren Rosenburg with five goals and two assists in the game.
 
AU's Dana Ganley (Syracuse, NY/Westhill) surpassed her career-high with seven ground balls in the matchup. Ganley's previous record was set against Montclair State (3/11/14) during her freshman campaign.  Ganley and junior Leah Ellithorpe (Camillus, NY/West Genesee) had three caused turnovers each.
 
Sophomore Shannon Gray (Rochester, NY/Churchville-Chili) stopped 14 shots in the contest over 60 minutes of play for AU.
 
The Saxons finish their road trip tomorrow at 11AM when they travel to Stevens to take on the Ducks.
