FREDONIA, NY -- The Alfred University men's swimming and diving team fell to host Fredonia, 153-90, Friday evening.
 
Sophomore Alec Toth (Lockport, NY/Starpoint) earned a pair of individual race wins to pace the Saxons (0-3). Toth won the 1,000 freestyle (10:41.27) and 500 free (5:05.24). Sophomore Joe Lawrence (Clarence, NY/Clarence Center) was Alfred's other winner, taking the 100 butterfly in 53.72 seconds. Lawrence also placed second in the 50 free (23.12 seconds).
 
Other top performers for AU included Sheldon Vosburgh (Canajoharie, NY/Canajoharie), second in the 200 free (1:52.25) and 100 free (51.58); and senior Jake Olson (Dansville, NY/Dansville), second in the 100 backstroke (57.48).
 
AU returns to the pool Saturday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m. at home against Pitt-Bradford.
