Terry S. Galanis Family Arena

The Terry S. Galanis Family Arena was dedicated to the Galanis family in 2014, with Terry S. Galanis Sr. '40 and Terry S. Galanis Jr. in attendance.

The newly renovated gymnasium maintains a capacity of 3,200 and serves as the home court of the men's and women's basketball teams and women's volleyball team. The area also acts as one of two training facilities for outdoor teams that need to be inside due to weather.

During the 2014 renovation, which was made possible by the Galanis family, the court was updated and resurfaced while the bleachers, public address system and lighting were overhauled and improved with the best fan experience in mind.

In 2016, the facility was upgraded again when the 1985-86 Alfred University men's basketball team donated a portable basketball hoop system, much like that of an NBA system.

The Terry S. Galanis Family Arena also plays host to multiple local basketball tournaments and both Alfred University's Convocation and Commencement ceremonies.
