Gene Castrovillo '75 Athletic Training Room

The athletic training room at Alfred University's McLane Center was renamed and dedicated, after being retrofitted with new taping tables, ice baths and an assortment of various diagnostic and recovery pieces of equipment, in the fall of 2019 and is now known as the Gene Castrovillo '75 Athletic Training Room. The room was dedicated after Castrovillo who pioneered the educational program at Alfred University in 1969 as the dedication occurred on the 50th Anniversity that was celebrated with a weekend full of athletic training alumni returning to campus for festivities.

The Castrovillo Athletic Training Room is the center conduit for Alfred University's 500+ student-athletes seeking sports medicine assistance such as diagnosing of injuries, recovery, preventative measures.
