ALFRED—Chrissy Behr (Surf City, NJ/Southern Regional) has been named the Alfred University Female Athlete of the Week following her performance at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championships.

Behr broke her own school record (59.27 seconds) in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 58.99 seconds at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Championships. Behr also took home the gold in the 50-yard freestyle, making her the first AU women’s swimmer in 11 years to win a UNYSCSA/Empire 8 Individual Championship.
