López Jiménez played an instrumental role in AU's first Empire 8 victory of the season against Nazareth University on Saturday. The first-year and partner Breece Erickson earned a dominating 6-0 victory at No. 2 doubles. López Jiménez broke the single-season record for most doubles wins with 11 as a result. He went on to win singles at No. 2, where he won the first set 6-2 before following with a narrow 6-4 victory in the second.
