Steward was named the Empire 8 Championship Tournament Most Valuable Player as she continued her undefeated streak against Empire 8 opponents. She pitched all four games and threw all 414 pitches to go 4-0 en route to the Saxons’ Championship Title. She helped the Saxons outscore their opponents, 29-13. 12 of those runs were earned. Steward struck out batters 12 times and gave up 30 hits. Inside of the batter’s box, Steward had five hits with two doubles, driving in runs twice and scoring runs four times herself. Steward helped the Saxons beat Nazareth University, Utica University and St. John Fisher University (twice) to clinch the title with an undefeated record in the tournament. During which, she tied former teammate, Megan Bennet ’24 and her single season wins record of 20, broke it and added two more, recording her 23rd win of the season inside of the pitcher’s circle, defeating Fisher for the Championship Crown. Defensively, Steward totaled 11 assists, two putouts and no errors.
